Okay, had this problem for almost 2 hours, and literally as i posted the above, wow then overwatch updated properly. maybe the launcher was updating in background or something. anyway i can now play...good luck guys hope you get it sorted also.. To know which patch you're on, check the upper left of your login screen for overwatch. if you're not getting prompted to update, manually check for the update under my games & apps > updates. if you don't see the update there, you may need to uninstall & reinstall the game..
